  1. I was gonna say, he doesn't look "six-eight". He doesn't move like a huge guy, but that explains why some guns look small in his hands.
  2. Spring is brand new. I spent my fooball time cleaning the oil off the thing. Factory oiled the beast to death.
  3. No kidding. "...a FAT terrorist..."
  4. The guy is a great shot with any gun. Not so surprised with slugs - I've gone through more than a few in my time with both my 12 Ga. and my 410. I don't think we ever shot more than 100 yards though. I love those perfect round holes and the power remaining. How big is wild Bill? Maybe it's the autoloader but it seems like it hardly moves him.
  5. "M&P 40 Compact NIB Unfired With Holster" ~$400 "CZ75B .40 comes with 1 high capacity 16rd and 2 10rd mags + manual and original box. Also comes with a custom fit Ross leather vertical right handed draw shoulder holster." ~$400 There are more still...
  6. 26 oz http://www.remtek.com/arms/sig/model/225/225.htm
  7. Oh that sucks. I didn't realize that just to read you need to register. If you do, just say you are from Moclips or Hummump WA. I usually don't like older chicks. Maybe the exception will be Esmeralda. She may be 70 or something now! http://www.esmeralda.cc/about_esmeralda.htm
  8. Here's a thread I started: http://seattleguns.net/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=33227 Just thought maybe we could get some tips from near the wettest place in NA*. *maybe not really, but close.
  9. You are a great man. Good going!!! I will be honest - not sure if I would have stepped in like you did, just because people are so darn snappy sometimes.
  10. Finally got all my NRA junk yesterday. NRA hat - woohoo!! That was kinda slow, but I got my original member number and junk. I last paid my dues in 1995!! Good to be a card carrying member, I will say that.
  11. Frankly - I want checkered. These won't fit? http://www.esmeralda.cc/rugergrips.htm
  12. Yes, it's blued, but very deeply and nicely blued Stainless would have been good, but apparently the new convertible no longer comes in stainless steel. Anyway, pearl on black looks a bit hideous to me. Something like this is nice: http://www.brownells.com/1/1/13343-single-action-grips-ruger-grip-co-hogue.html
  13. Got the beast today!! SWEET GUN. Very well made piece. Smooth. Very nice balance.
  14. Got the gun today. Feels nice....can't wait for the range on Monday!!

  16. BTW - I do have a pair that I actually forgot about: http://www.fastenal.com/web/products/detail.ex?sku=1021374&ucst=t These type of safety glasses are excellent for us older weasels who are farsighted. The leetle bifocal is really, really nice. No switching glasses to see some detail on your gun or whatever I can see like an eagle at 3 feet and beyond, close-up, my vision is getting progressively very poor.
  17. Makes sense. Hopefully I will build my own by the time I get a 38 special only gun.
  18. Oh shoot, why? Rossi Feeding issues? Mainly they are for the revolver, though.
  19. Duh on my part. I have seen LE before. I highly doubt, in fact I know these aren't LE guns. I suspect Barry is correct, I didn't know so many sold. Sub $500 for some really nice .40 guns.
  20. I'm OK with shooting furry buggers, but I like the ones you can eat.
  21. LE trade-in??? Not sure what LE stands for.
  22. We have a pretty cool and active gun board in the Seattle area. Although I will say it can be a rougher crowd than here. No one has given me any heck yet and they respect others, but man - if a shop in the area gets a bad rap, watch out. They pile on like 6th graders. My local place is such a shop - and my experience has been nothing short of superb with this shop. Makes one wonder sometimes. I am publicly supporting this guy.
  23. My local gun board has tons and tons of .40's for sale? Is this just random or?? I can see if people bought a 10mm and found it to be too much gun, but the 40 seems like a fine round. I will say this, the prices on the guns look good.
  24. Every time I read about this great man, I learn something new and amazing. Aside from the fact that he had, what 13 siblings? When I first started learning about John Browning I thought he could have been so much richer (monetarily) - he didn't nearly exploit his inventions for their full worth, etc. I was just wrong on that count. Oh, I'm sure he could have made more money with his own arms factories or some other path, but boy was I wrong headed to think about it that way. This kind of inventive genius is so very rare. I mean given the small subset of people who even have such drive, then the mental ability and the hands-on ability. Wow. Amazing guy to say the least.
