  1. Brownells looks to be well stocked. They have a TON of gun juices, a bunch I've never seen reviewed. CDNN is just plain interesting.
  2. Some odds and ends, two carbon fiber rods, ear muffs, gun bench rests, gun cases, Remington moisture guards, etc Odd thing - they had some good deals on ammo and that was in stock.
  3. In the USA everyone has the right to be an idiot at least once! Funny thing is, a couple people recommended this joint to me. Oh well. I'll keep the board posted.
  4. Larry, First of all, I just entered my first web order with your company. Great web site, cool looking company. I do have a beef. The amount of items on back order is crazy ridiculous. I mean not to be insulting, but what, you can't have a warehouse larger than my shop? Or can you not have your suppliers on hair trigger for drop shipping? Or are you just having logistics issues? There are four items I decided to wait on. I had to change my mind on almost EVERYTHING else I choose and finally I just grabbed a good alternative - meaning I didn't buy exactly what I wanted. If that in itself isn't bad enough, you are charging me OUTRAGEOUS freight on the four back ordered items, a separate nasty shipping charge. It's as if you are doubling up on customers because YOU ran out. Think about it - I'm penalized monetarily (and time wise) - because you have no stock. I can tell you one thing, your largest competitor does not do this. Can you check my order out and look into the freight charges, please. I would love for you to convince me why I should stay as a customer. Customer #: 10XXXX757 Invoice #: 12XXXX78 Invoice Date: 1/16/2011 8:21:51 AM Regards, Paul
  5. I always make sure I enter my income on cards the postman can read. Not. We rarely send registrations in. I did FAX my new 4:1 FAX machine one in. It's a cool way to test the machine. I entered G-man's income though.
  6. I just ordered some from MidwayUSA. OK price and all, but they are backordered. I'm OK with that, it happens - but wholly Moses, those guys have no shame on shipping charges.....wowser....I ordered a mess of stuff, the main part of the order, the shipping was high, but tolerable. However, the backorder shipping charges are land lubber piracy. Jack me up with no lube, crazy expensive. (where's the gremlin with the bugged out eyes??)
  7. Man - you are having too many birthdays....I mean one here, one on the other board....adds up quick!!
  8. Thoughts on these: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productnumber=774928
  9. GREAT THREAD I have some 20+ year old muffs that are shot (maybe bad word choice). Basically the softparts plastic covering is all cracked and nasty. What brand do you guys recommend?

    SIG P225

Thanks Ed. Great info. Indeed I had previously noted the price of the magazines. I also downloaded and read the manual last night.
  11. Tom - where did you get the carbon fiber cleaning rod?
  12. What cleaning rods do guys recommend? I have two sets of generic Outers aluminum rods that have worked great over the years. So I just bought a Hoppe brush and patch holder for the .35X guns, these new parts have 8-32 threads.....but alas my more slender rod has different threads. Arrgh. So I was checking online and I see something I don't get. Stainless steel rods. This just doesn't seem like a good idea. Recommendation? Whole new kit? Best would just be a new rifle and hand gun rod?

    SIG P225

Very cool. He just emailed me and said he's getting 4 more and will give me pick of the litter before putting them in the display case possibly $300 or so. I know he's out to make a buck like the next Joe, but this gun dealer has really clicked with me. Take that Cabelas! Plus he's 20 minutes from the house, vs 1.5 or so hours to Cabelas.

    SIG P225

Seems to be some level of professional use.
  15. So a P6 = P225?? hahahhaha little did I know - Not elegant, but nice to handle gun.

    SIG P225

Gun dealer guy has some nice slightly used P225's - seems he will sell me one for a song. They look and feel really nice, and the price seems lower than anything I see on the web. Tell me about this gun. Any issues to look out for?
  17. Looks like a fine choice. I choose my Winchester Featherweight 1300 for the same reasons. I like that gun. 4-hour defensive shotgun class? Would love to take such a class!!
  18. For sure, I'm gonna try it out first. It's not so much that it's convertible, I was just wondering if the "new model" that makes it different than other (earlier) Blackhawks.
  19. Cornfused. Will ALL those fit, or only New Model Blackhawk, Single Six Rubber Black...ie only these: http://www.midwayusa.com/Search/#New%20Model%20Blackhawk____-_1-2-4_8-16-32 What I'm saying, no nice wooden grips?
  20. Just got home. Frack the gun shop was BUSY!! Nice place, lots of AR stuff too. They had a nice used Sig 9mm I wanted SOOOO bad, but I resisted. Ordered the Ruger and the rifle, plus he gave me a stack of ammo. The paperwork is indeed, a pain.
  21. Ordering along with a Ruger .357 convertible from local shop. All told with shipping and FFL, local isn't so bad. The only problem? 6-8 weeks for the long gun!! The Ruger in 3-5 days.
  22. I'm working my local gun shop for a deal combined with the Rossi .38/357 20" R92-56001. So far prices are less than all the high auction shops. I'm working on him to throw in some extras.
  23. Min bid must be up there!!
