  1. Sweet - so does the 9mm lose any accuracy in the larger barrel?
  2. If G-man turns up with a DE 44 mag 10" barrel - we will know who won the auction!!
  3. I know Desert Eagle (Magnum Research) does? And I think they are the only ones. SIG? But that's a 357 SIG. I should just get a bloody 9mm and a 357 revolver! I think I just solved my dilemma.
  4. I know it was HUGE leap - I was mainly thinking of the deal. Score for $605! I know they are huge and all. So get this, now I'm looking for a 357 semi auto and a 357 lever gun!!
  5. No kinda cranky so I didn't type clearly. Good deal for one of the other weasels. I got outbid. I wasn't around a computer all day so I missed out!!
  6. Dang - got home. Some guys bid it up to $780. Still a good deal. Guy said it had been shot 75 times.
  7. Reminds me of Oh Brother Where Art Thou: "Care for some gopher?"
  8. BTW I got my snap caps last week. Good to practice with. They cycle nicely through the lever gun, but I would rather be ejecting empties at the range! (and collecting the brass)
  9. Actually I was thinking we (stands for anyone on this board) would need to meet up in the south somewhere. Somewhere where they are plentiful. Supposedly some counties around here have wild pigs. But not a whole lot. Yet. Just dreaming really.
  10. Cripes - no one else is bidding on the gun. Sweet. I think. Look at the price new for this thing.
  11. Hope for those wounded to have a full recovery. Pray for the families of all involved. I don't really want to know about the sick guy's mind and his mentally ill ramblings. I do however have some curiosity to get the real information on the weapons used, how he obtained them and other pertinent information . I want to be somewhat logically prepared for all the gun ban people and press. It will be a wave joined by so called "middle of the road" people. We all know this will be played or all it's worth.
  12. Sweet. I'm still waiting for that hog hunting invitation!
  13. I really couldn't get past driving a 16p galvanized finishing nail into the trigger mechanism retaining pin with a rusty claw hammer......it's worse than rebuilding an engine with a crow bar...pretty much torture to my eyes and ears. EDIT: People like this are in the millions. They change oil. They drive cars. They breed. No one is perfect. Do I always have the exact perfect tool for every application? No. Do I improvise? Of course. But there is reasonable gap....a judgment worth bridging. This guy pretty much nearly ignore all the man rules.
  14. I normally don't either - but looks to be a good deal, plus everyone starts somewhere and not everyone who has their first auction is a crook. I will likely be outbid. Some of the prices are extreme in these auctions I notice - some are good deals too. Two rookies doing an exchange. There is a decent FFL guy right over in Monroe. I worried that someone here would outbid me. Thank goodness your site isn't huge YET.
  15. Call me nuts: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=209957762
  16. Nice video. That guy is pretty good. He hard shows a kick.
  17. Thanks. Stainless is cool, but a cost adder. I see that Sports Authority carries them. I'll see if I can order one up and what the price will be.
  18. I was just going to post and ask if someone had shot this beast: http://www.firearmsforyou.com/product/49467/ ??? It would be a strangely odd match with the lever 44 mag!
  19. Rossi Model 92 Round BBL Rifle R92-56001, 357 Remington Mag, Lever, 20 in, Walnut Stock, Blue Finish, 10 + 1 Rd Everybody seems to be sold out??? Have a source?
  20. Browning? 1897? Sold by Winchester. Guesses above.
  21. When are we going hog huntin'? I'm still waiting for the call
