  1. Anybody in the south with a pig "problem" give me a shout. I'll pay for your food and stuff if you put me up and point me in the right direction!!
  2. One of these days you will feed me, and I will insist on paying.
  3. Oh man.....I can I come over and take it apart? Seriously - that does suck. Sweet seller. Looks like there aren't TOO many bad ones active on GunBroker....or they should be long gone.
  4. I was kinda thinkin' by the relatively higher numbers it was muzzle....good rule of thumb. You guys are in for it when I start askin' reloading questions!
  5. Of course I understand that - but the velocity in the X axis - is that muzzle or 50 yds?
  6. Well for sure faster than 240 and 300 gr bullets. Seems like on paper As with any cartridge, you can get some better power via speed with handloads. Is this table for muzzle velocity? http://www.hornady.com/assets/files/ftx_load_data/44RemMagFTXRifle.pdf
  7. Thanks! As I dry cycled the gun I found the action to be solid, but a little tight compared other levers. It looked a bit dry, so the good news is a little MP made it smoother with a little notchiness. After I shoot it a few times I will explore this further.
  8. Anyone shot with these? Hornady LEVERevolution They look pretty slick. Gimmick?
  9. Wow - how nice is that? Sweet. Thanks for the Christmas present!!
  10. Got the gun. Pretty nice. Scratch is not so deep, I can fix it. Hardly looks fired at all. Gotta get to the range.......slow my breathing a bit...
  11. For all my guns really. Do you guys go to the factory or have a secret source?? One guy has this (for example): http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=206673458 I don't really want to pay $10+S/H for a copy, if you know what I mean.
  12. Yowser!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I only watched a few minutes - thanks) That's nasty - pretty ironic too when he is talking about how burr free the gun is.
  13. That's why I didn't mind breaking the $500 limit. Shipping and fees and hassle avoidance are worth it. I googlymapped his location. Amazingly close by.
  14. It is? I just can't sit through a whole 20 minutes. At what time did you see the crack??
  15. I'm hoping that scratch isn't as bad as it looks. I would be just sick if I did that to one of my guns I bought new, but heck it doesn't bug me that much..yet. Not really a video guy.
  16. I'm a wiener. I was dreaming about a lower price, but oh well. Need to arrange pick-up.
  17. I hadn't planned on any local hunts, but it does look like there are some wild pigs around here. I was thinking more about when I move southeast, become an antihippie and live off the land. The .44 mag would be sporting for close up "fun".
  18. What is the best overall gun and caliber for the feral pig menace? Drop 'em in one good shot, not anger them....if you know what I mean.
  19. Pretty fancy. Not taking that boar huntin'!!
  20. That there is a scoundrel gun. Shoots other various bad guys as well.
  21. If it's only a buck or two diff for 50 rounds....then the low bidder loses out. I'll check out what you guys like best and follow your lead.
  22. Here's what he said: Quote:I'm not the original owner. I bought it about 4 years ago. I have not shot it since I bought it. I did buy it from a dealer and he said it shot great. I have cycled ammo through it while hunting and it feeds well .I have not run any 44 specials through it. I do not have the owners manual or paperwork. I don't mind meeting at all but I do ask that you sign a firearms bill of sale, provide some ID and I will accept cash or a bank cashiers check.
  23. Thanks. I emailed the seller, no response yet. Just asked him a few questions about the gun. Never bought a gun this way before - but thanks you - turned me on to Gunbroker.com and I hadn't thanked you yet.
