  1. I bought my wife a Baikal IZH-27 O/U several years back, thing is built like a tank.
  2. Are there any additional hoops to jump through in Illinois in order to own an AR, other than the FOID card?
  3. My brother has one. I believe it is made by Baikal for Remington, it is a solid gun, but you are correct, a tack driver it is not.
  4. Congrats, is this your first "evil black gun"?
  5. You should be able to look at the die and tell if there is a carbide insert or not.
  6. I have the one from Tactical Solutions on both my 10/22's. Works well.
  7. So you basically got a top quality scope and mount for free!! I haven't shot it a whole lot yet and as such haven't worked up any handloads for it yet, but with factory loads I am seeing groups of about 1.25" @ 100 yards. I hope to tighten that up considerably once I work up some loads.
  8. I have the same rifle, less the scope. Traded my S&W 500 for it. That whole package has to be worth around $2k or a little more retail, so how much of a discount did you get on it?
  9. My BIL has one, it's a good shooter. I own 2 inlines and 2 traditional style ML's, but my next one is going to be the Savage Model 10ML-II in which you can use smokeless powder.
  10. Welcome Mac, my dad also did two tours 65-67.
  11. Looks like we will be getting the Christmas monsoons here.
  12. Yeah, that put's it on top of my list for an economical scope!
  13. If the primer is flattening such that it is flowing into radius of the pocket that is almost certainly a sign of high pressure.
  14. I have never been to one, but I do hunt Dove and Quail.
  15. I sell and trade from time to time.
  16. Nope, it's going to be made in Leupold's factory here in the good ol' USA. MSRP is $149, so the street price should be a little less than that.
  17. If for no other reason I would like to take a monster just to sell the mount to Cabelas or Bass Pro Shop etc.. They pay good handsomely for them.
  18. For years the Ohio DNR said there were no bobcats in the state, just in the last few years they have reversed their position. They have also been saying Mountain Loins are not a permanent fixture in the state, I bet that will also change shortly.
  19. Man I hate to hear that Wayne, I hope you have a speedy and full recovery!
  20. This buck was taken about 10 minutes from my house a couple weeks ago, and this buck was taken about 300 yards from my front door last season. I'm gonna have to start bringing my lucky rabbits foot with me I guess!
  21. Thanks Bob, I didn't even think of the NRA Store and I get their e-mails all the time.
