  1. OK, tomorrow we're going to the range with my neighbor. We are going to pit my tuned 586 against his .357 TC. I think I can best him with open sights. Will let you know how works out. BB
  2. Sorry it took so long to get back but past weather hasn't given me much incentive, but that has changed. The Llama appears to lock up on the bell of the barrel, which is machined with concentric friction rings. So it does not appear to have the same strip down procedure as the 1911 copy. BB

  4. Thanks Guys, will strip it and see what happens. Phil
  5. Here in Iowa we really got blasted. 15" of snow with three-foot drifts. Snowblowed once already but driveway has another 8" of blown "deposits." At 11:30 cst, we currently have -20 wind chills at -1F. I think I will wait until Saturday (20 F forecasted) to shovel anymore snow. Phoenix is looking better every day. Phil
  6. Does anyone know if this caliber field strips the same way as their M1911 copy? http://gunshowonthenet.com/Gun_Manuals/Gun_Manuals3/Llama_Max_I.pdf I am second owner (back-up gun for original owner, detective), but was never given the original manual for it. I think it is more accurate than my BIL's Glock 23. The only disadvantage seems to be the magazine's capacity. Thanks Phil
  7. My S&W 586 with custom trigger work (smooth as glass) and custom grips are my all time favorite. My second choice, Like Arkie, is my Ruger MarkII. Phil
  8. Quote:down here in the South we like 'em with a bit more tan! FIND THE IOWAN Hmmmmm, the one on the far right???? Thanks Bob. I have a sister who lives in Atkins, Ar. Her Husband is former Air Force and loves to shoot as well. Phil
  9. Yes I am. Been there since about '02.
  10. I have two ML's, both in .50 cal, one is a CVA and the other a Thompson Center Hawkeye with all the brass. I am taking the TC on the late season deer hunt here. HAs anyone else tried Jim Shockey's Gold in FFG? It seems to burn really clean and takes about 75% of the volume compared to RS.
  11. From the rolling hills of eastern Iowa, where ethanol grows on stalks and the girls are always beautiful, greetings all. I enjoy all forms of hunting and shooting, ballistics, and anything that can be launched at over 200 fps. Latest iron is a 0.40 S&W. I will be getting back to reloading here shortly for the .357 Mag and the .38 Special. Nice to see a lot of familiar faces and thanks to Wayne for a great site. Phil
