  1. This was a terrible tragedy and my thoughts and prayers go out to the victims. I suspect like most of the other mentally ill people who commit acts like this, the warning signs were apparent at an early age. Somehow we need to cull these types from society. We just have to hope our pro gun elected officials have the fortitude to withstand the onslaught by the gun grabbers.
  2. Why can't you own an XDM in California Steve? The mag capacity?

    Ruger LC9

According to Rugers website the LC9 is slightly larger than the LCP.
  4. I bet he would be a cool guy to sit down and have a beer with. Pretty good shot too!
  5. With the money they would save by not sending us all that junk in the mail they could do more good on capitol hill!
  6. Nope, no problem, that's a roll crimp and once fired the empty cartridge will be straight, for all intensive purposes.
  7. Hey, you gotta get some empty brass somehow!
  8. The first .44Mag I shot was my fathers late 60's vintage Model 29 S&W. I don't know how long I pestered him to let me shoot it, but he finally let me fire it with some of his target handloads. I remember it made me feel like a grown up. The .44 seems almost wimpy now compared to my 454 Casull and 500 S&W.
  9. I don't use nickel exclusively, in fact most of my brass is regular brass, but I will buy nickel when I can get a good deal on it. That being said, I have not noticed a significant difference in the amount of times I can reload it vs regular brass? I generally get 7-10 reloads out of both.
  10. Like Moe said, nothing special. I also like the nickel plated brass, not for any particular reason other than it looks good. I load mostly hard cast 300 and 320gr WFNGC bullets and I also like H-110 powder.
  11. Unless it states otherwise, that would be muzzle velocity.
  12. Wonder if the previous owner knew about the crack?
  13. My brother in law and I are planning a boar hunt on my uncles property as soon as our schedules allow. I am going to be bringing my 454 Casull handgun along with my 300 RUM, both using my handloads. I am confident either will produce one shot kills with a well placed shot. Here in Ohio wild boar are considered nuisance animals by the DNR. I wont kill more than I can eat though.
  14. Don't mention it, I am just glad you found something you like!
  15. I went to one Dec 11 in Dayton and prices were very high.
  16. All this talk of 92 levers gave me the itch too, so I visited my local gun shop today and had them order me a Rossi R92 in 454 Casull to match my 454 revolvers. Good luck on your B92 Pablo, I see you are still the top bidder!
  17. Glad to see you here Pablo, I always enjoy your input over at the oil board.
  18. Magnum Research makes one.
  19. Wayne, it depends on how the hunt is going, i usually have the most success with the cottontail in distress call and use it almost exclusively, but if I know the yotes are there and they have not responded to the cottontail call I will switch to another call, if I still don't get a response I will simply move on to another area. hittman, The call I use 90% of the time is the cottontail in distress. The other 10% would be mixed between rodent in distress, red fox distress, coyote pup distress, and mouse squeaker.
  20. Yes, I do Wayne. I live close to several sheep and cattle operations, and coyotes are a real problem here. Rich
