  1. You make a good point Steve, I may have to think about this some more.
  2. The ammo supply at my local china-mart is still poor, but a few miles away at my local gun store you can get pretty much anything you want.
  3. I tend to keep handgun boxes and pitch long gun boxes.
  4. Wonder if prices will ever go back to pre-Obama levels?
  5. It's a muzzle loading shotgun. After re-reading I see you were asking about black powder cartridge shot guns.
  6. Never thought of that Pete! What brand did you go with?
  7. Here is the aforementioned shotgun. It has the words Real Twist inlaid in the rib. It is marked Bentley & Son on the inside of the side lock.
  8. Congrats! Looks like you shot the best group there!
  9. I have one that belonged to my great grandfather, it's from the mid 1800's, has a Damascus barrel. It has not been fired in over 30 years.
  10. Really, it's not for me. Actually I want to buy the wife a conceal & carry purse.Right now she just carries the gun kinda willy nilly inside a purse that's not designed for CC. Any Ideas/recommendations?
  11. Those are all some fine 22's, hard to argue, but I'll say: Remington Model 512 Sportmaster.
  12. I wonder why Ruger has never chambered a revolver in 500 S&W?
  13. Yeah, and if you don't control the OAL and crimp during reloading you end up with feeding issues and stovepipes.
  14. I see, I would still have mine, but a buddy wanted it pretty bad and traded me a sweet Bushmaster for it.
  15. I made the stupid mistake of shooting my ported 454 with no ear protection once, cost me some permanent hearing loss in my left ear.
  16. I had one, really didn't have any issues with the recoil?
  17. I did have a 500 S&W,but traded it for an AR-15, I still have my 454 Casull and shoot it quite a bit. The recoil is really not that bad even shooting 360gr hardcasts.
  18. I have a stockpile of Winchester silver box 37gr HP. It runs very well in all my 22's. It runs especially well in my Ruger MarkII target.
  19. Welcome! I always thought of it as Northern Mexico?
  20. I've had nothing but trouble with Remington 22LR ammo for several years now, I always try to give them the benefit of the doubt and buy some more, but I always have the same result. I guess I will stick with Winchester.
  21. Same as Scotty here, 50-60 mph winds and just a dusting of snow.
  22. It has a 60 shot memory divided into 6 strings. It does not come with a printer, but you can add their printer to it.
  23. I use a Chrony Beta Master, it's about 5 years old and works just like the day I bought it. I am very pleased with it.
