  1. There are well liked by the cowboy action shooters.
  2. Seems the gun show vendors haven't realized the Obama panic has run its course and most buyers have already spent their gun hobby $$$ .
  3. I would say try out equal value of each sight and find out which one works the best for you. I tried both and one really works super for me.
  4. A mil spec lower is just that.you can buy milspec parts and they will fit. CMMG is mil spec. Now the extention can be mil spec or commercial for the collapsing stock and the plastic buttstock dia. Again the milspec is a stronger design by the way the threads are done where it screws into the lower reciever . Magpul has a discription of both
  5. http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p...amp;output=html BCM products are the best you can get. I have ben through 6 ARS since my first one in 1976 3 Colts operated perfectly, 1 oly build POS I sold it quick and 2 builds with BCM uppers Awesome like the old Colts. Milspec is what you want I have a build on a CMMG lower it works !!!
  6. Most rifles are overcleaned. The AR if quality parts are used in the MFG. parts aren't parts, should go more rounds than you normally would like to go if kept well lubricated.
  7. I bought my first Colt AR in the early 70s that is when the craze started. They are fun.
  8. I found that I could neck size even with an auto "223 and 30-06" I don't run max loads. That saves on trimming. I would not cut corners on self defense loads though.
  9. I have had it happen as well. I did the exact same thing.
  10. I have had a problem with 40S@W case bulges and I ground most the taper part of the sizing die. So far so good. I use a Dillon 550.
  11. The older I get the less I like recoil.
  12. I have shot them over the years and my dad has a 22/45 and it is a favorite. They probably last at least a lifetime. They are wonderful.
  13. Kind of out dated but I'll pick a 1903 Springfield. I just like them.

    .40 or 9mm

    9mm or 40 S@W? It really doesn't matter. I have shot both. 9mm has a bit less recoil,less price.
  15. If you want an AR you can depend on with your life look at Bravo Company. Get quality and make sure the barrel is 5.56 NATO instead of 223.This link may help with the AR choice http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p...amp;output=html
  16. Since the 70s I have always been tempeted to buy a 6" 29 ,,Dirty Steve but never have.
  17. IMO the heavy frame is nicer for shooting magnums. I have been able to shoot a Python enough to say how nice they are to shoot but I have only used wad cutters.
  18. I like revolvers ,you don't have to pick up the brass.
  19. Actually the whole truth would be yes I bought the 40 XD tactical ,but my Son and I went out to shoot it and well basically my son has an XD40, same thing happened with the XD compact 3 years ago!!!.It is really OK though.
  20. There was this like new XD tactical in 40 S@W just waiting for me instead.
  21. Look at the barrel split.
