    Which 9mm Pistol?

Most of the big name 9mms are nice. Made in Germany Sigs, Glocks , Springfield XDs, Berettas, Browning High Powers or go for the gusto $$$ a 9mm 1911!
  2. It is not about crime ,crime doesn't matter . It is about the subjects having firearms.
  3. The basic question,,, HOW MUCH DOES IT COST.
  4. That is why you have to follow the recommended safety procedures when reloading. That is rule #1 wear safety glasses. Those are my favorite safety devices.
  5. My son gets a big smile when he handles one. I have been through th Garand and high end M1a in the 1980 but for half the price the 223 shoots holes in paper just fine. The SCAR is nice to handle.
  6. I would spend more money and get one of the M1As made with forged parts and U.S. G.I. quality parts instead of Sprinfields made in taiwan parts. But then that is just me as a one time owner of 3 Springfield M1As before they went low made in Taiwan quality. Kinda like Daniel Defense Quality vs one of the bottom feeder ARs.
  7. I am glad you were wrong on this one . Though if the other side won,,,,,
  8. I looked at a scar 17 the other day. It felt nice but too expensive for me.
  9. Hardly ever. I bought my 10/22 in 1978 and put around a 1000 rounds per year through it and have probably cleaned it 5 times though I oil it. Last winter the rifle started to eject funny and had to wipe the case out of the action ,I thought it was cleaning time. The problem was the extractor was so worn out if popped out of the bolt so I replaced it with a Volquartson kit and now it works better than new.
  10. I bought my Dillon 550 in 1992 as well and the Dillon warranty is no B.S.for sure. I learned to reload on a Rock Chucker and a Lyman reloading manual.
  11. A 454 to anything else is quite a change!! How about a J frame type?
  12. To me it is the felt recoil in the single actions that I dislike. A Redhawk is not bad at all and from a Desert Eagle is like a 45 ACP+P out of a 1911.
  13. The 223/ 5.56 is no more or less difficult than any other rifle caliber. There is in all other calibers a learning curve to get the dies adjusted properly .Be sure to get a case size gauge like this http://www.lewilson.com/casegage.html they are imo almost a necessity once I started using them . Dillon dies work great for progressive loaders IMO. The only caliber I have trouble with is 40 S@W. I think the problem is the cases fired from Glocks. I load ,223, 30/06, 308, 300 Weatherby mag ,38 special, 357 mag, 9mm, 40S@w and 45 ACP . Come to think about it I haven't shot my 223 for at least a year! I'll have to do it soon.
  14. They are not really necessary but they look cool.
  15. They are well worth the $$$$. They are nice. I have the SSA one it is nice I didn't want a lighter trigger. A match trigger would be trick for a varmit rifle.
  16. It will be o.k. to shoot .The single actions are killer to shoot.
  17. Never used to be that way till Bill Clinton was reelected.
  18. Colt or BCM. Read up on how they are built. Buy the best and be happy for years and years.
  19. While an accurized mini would be fun. I would pick up another AR then you have another rifle with the same parts and magazines. I have been selling off the odds and ends and getting several of the same of exact rifle/handguns because of the same parts and mags and ammo .
  20. Having the privilege to onetime being able to shoot a full out 1911 based race gun in 38 super, the basics were explained to me, the 38 super can be [is] overloaded to get more gas at the compensator to make the compensator eliminate muzzle rise. When shooting the pistol there was no muzzle rise and virtually no felt recoil. "As well as the powerfactor etc."
