    Glock 21

I really like Glocks but they have polygonal barrels that are supposed to not work with lead bullets , that is why I haven't owned one.
  3. I went through the second 500 round box there was 1 fail to fire and I rotated the cartridge 180* to get a different hit in the primer and it shot. This batch was much better in all ways than the first box of 500.

    S&W 329 kaboom

I hope S@W warranties the revolver. I am thinking about a Scandium J frame but I would run SWC in it.
  5. Well I shot my S@W 442 with reloads, 5.2 gn 231 with a 158 gn lead bullet that I have used for years in my Security 6 and S@W 642 . The recoil on the 442 was brutal [a really sharp slap that hurt the web of my hand] as compared to the other revolvers which were confortable in comparison. The primer also looked different but the same batch of reloads when shot through the Security 6 looked picture perfect. I have shot Speer Gold Dot 135 gn through the 442 and they were not bad at all recoil wise as a comparison.
  6. That is what I like about the 5 shot revolvers. Small light and effective for its intended use.
  7. I looked at a S@W today. I am thinking.
  8. dnewton3, Yes I am, I really never paid a whole lot of attention untill your post!!! I want one!!!
  9. It usually does for me as well ,a good day on the range is when I find once fired brass left by some one else .
  10. Many people are skeered now and for a good reason.
  11. Years ago one of my friends had one the more used they are the better. A 22lr python IMO.
  12. Well humbly I must post I had to have the 442 sent back to Smith "warranty repair" because the crane was loose and the cylinder seemed like it wobbled more than the new ones at the gun shop. The good news was the turn around time was only two weeks. Could it be Smith sends the problem ones to Calif?
  13. dnewton3, you really got me thinking about getting a M@P 15-22 so it is your fault if I do . I may sell my 10/22 to get it .the 10/22 has been a nice rifle . I bought it when they cost $69.00 . I really like 22LR to shoot .
  14. Today I came back to this post and read the link again. I wonder if all 1911s are prone to breakage ? Are the glocks and other more modern plastic pistols more dependable by design? There are always reports on the 30,000 without failure round glock 17 . Then there is the kabooms but I wonder if lead reloads are the problem?
  15. Is it the M@P or is it Bill that shoots so good!!
  16. Its oh yeah!!! I bought another one. You will be happy.
  17. I just used the last Bullseye powder that I purchased in 1994 or 1995. No problems. I have shot 1942 30-06 surplus ammo .
  18. My review of a 1960 300 Weatherby Mag. My Dad purchared the rifle new a Roos brothers department store in San Francisco Ca. I remember I seemed big and had trouble holding it myself. It only was sighted in before his hunting trips and at deer or elk he shot at. In 1995 I took the rifle to the range to try it out. It could at 100 yards cloverleaf the 3 shots. It is the light weight barrel . The recoil on the bench really sucks. in Feb 2010 I took it to the range and still the recoil sucks. Call me a pansy . It is a beautiful rifle though. That is my review of my Weatherby Rifle.
  19. I do not have a 1911 Photo Display Stand!
