  1. I tried electronic muffs a few weeks ago they are really nice.
  2. Have you tried an EOTECH sight ? I am not sure about 200 yards but up to a 100 yards they turn me into a good shooter . Magnifaction may be better for pins though and a fair quality scope would be cheaper .
  3. During 2007 one of my friends gave me a XD 9MM subcompact and I liked it so much I bought an XD subcompact in S@W40 and a XD Tactical in S@W40 as well. They are not like a tricked out high end 1911. But I really like the way they feel for some odd reason. The XDMs are from what I have heard from friends that own them outside of The Socialist State Of Kal-e-fornia say they are wonderful. After all these years I realized that due to my ability A target trigger doesn't make me target shooter.
  4. There is always that one more magic gun that will make life worth living.
  5. The guitar didn't make me a 1,500.00 guitar player. I enjoy Erics music since the 1960s.
  6. Don't sell the Glock. You may not get a whole lot for it and $0 S@W is a good caliber. UMC ammo gets lots of omplaints.
  7. I would keep the Glock. 40S@W is a good caliber and I am sure you have ammo stocked up just because you should. During the Obama ammo shortage there was always some 40 S@W and 9mm at the 2 local Walmart because 40S@W is a homeland defense caliber And 9MM is military. You want at least 1 - 40S@W and at least 1 - 9MM along with at least 5 each magazines. Buy aaother Glock. They are point of aim interchangeable so you can automatically transistion between them without thought. I do that with XDs and 1911s as they have the same point of aim when you get the feel of them,Glocks are a bit different no biggie but since you have the Glock why fight it besides the 9mm Glock is the ultimate 9mm.
  8. I went to the music store with my son and on the wall was a Fender Eric Clapton replica Strat. I picked it up and tried to play it . I had to complain to the store manager and tell him the guitar was broken because I didn't sound like Eric Clapton. Moral of the story a $1500.00 guitar doesn't make you a $1500.00 guitar player.
  9. Try using the Dillon and see if you like it!!! I love mine. You have a bunch of good components .
  10. You really do not have to put much effort into cleaning the rifle just make sure it is well lubed. Maybe clean it after 250 rounds to keep yourself happy then it doesn't have to be spotless. If you sight it in at 50 yards the pullet should be on at 200 yards. The majority of soldiers can learn how to clean it so can you. The AR is a really simple rifle .

    S&W 681, 4"

Why not to the socialist state of Kali-for-nia?
  12. Those are cowboys so they must be cowboy rifles?
  13. What is nice about reloading is that you can load low power loads for target shooting and plinking and some hot and heavy loads "still in the safe range of the loading data" for hunting.
  14. I shot a 44 mag Super Blackhawk It sucked . Then I shot a Redhawk way way better then I tryed a 454 Casall at the range and it was way way better than the Super blackhawk. I am not sure I want to try anything bigger.
  15. Look at the Dillon 550 reloading press ,it is pricy but I have had one since the early 90s or so. I am totally pleased with it last Christmas the primer feed mess up so I called in for the lifetime no BS warranty and it was truly no BS !!. The rep interviewed me. What he did was make sure I got all the parts I needed for the repair and then some, they were generous. Then any upgraded parts that I should have had from the upgrades over the years I didnt get [or need because the machine had been flawless,I maintained it per instructions though as this was the first problem I have ever had] and even made sure I received the updated manual. I was most impressed and 3 days later all of the parts were in the mail. 10 minutes later I was reloading. I have loaded 38 sp,45acp,357 mag, 9mm, 40S@W, 223, 308,30-06 @ 300 Weatherby mag and I watched one of my buds load 338 Lapua mag on his Dillon 550.
  16. I ran through 2 lbs of Vitavouri 3N37 last year and I am pretty happy with the results.
  17. I really don't like shooting rifles that much. I do not know why. Glocks work well !!!It is the UMC ammo. I like expensive 1911 but you can buy 3 or more Glocks for the price of a nice 1911. And the Glocks are probably more reliable. But then I shot this guys 1911 race gun and it was magic. But then for what is cost magic should be expected.
  18. A 44 mag can do some damage to the pig population.
  19. Arrrrg,,,,, I like how the XD comes apart!!!
  20. I enjoy shooting a 223 to the point of selling my 30 caliber rifles . I don't hunt anymore and a 223 could do the job if needed though not ideal sometimes. And the reloading costs half of a bigger bore. Try to get some 5.56 loads to try,
  21. I remember when they were first on the market . At the time they were like a space gun . They are still to me really neat. Quite an item IMO.
  22. Winchester holds their value pretty good.
  23. Me too so much so I have been selling off my rifles .
  24. Shooting both 45 acp in a 1911 and a S@W 40 XD tactical [5"] To me there is not much if any difference. Even in an XDsc in S@W40 the recoil doesn't seem bad or snappy though more than a 9mm XDsc.
