  1. Nice Nice! G-MAN do you have any engraved rifles?
  2. I finally broke down and ordered the "A" package.
  3. As for shooting the guns before buying... I guess I could make that happen with the SR9 as a bud of mine has one. But as for Glocks...nobody I know owns one! There's no place to rent. Wait I do know a guy who has a Glock 17! Have to wait till he gets back from Afghanistan.
  4. I wanted to do a lil update here on some random thoughts flowin' through my brain... Yah the glock .40 chamber ain't fully supported that's why I'm leaning M&P if I go .40 besides the fact it was built as a .40 in the first place. I've heard things about the Glock .40 causes the rounds to... well I forget the word but the cases bulge at the bottom... Yah case bulge... Hickok says he reloaded Glock .40 fired cases for ten years without a problem and I am inclined to believe him. Just don't wanna bulge cases slightly and cause my bud to be reloading these slightly bulged cases. And another thing...I held an SR9 yesterday at the gun shop and that thang felt really really good. Dry firing it amazed me! The trigger felt like gold compared to a Glock. But as GMAN says I've got an itch and buying any other pistol won't satisfy that itch so I'll prolly go Glock. That said... I'd love to buy an American made pistol but I want a Glock so bad. I'd buy a used Glock but most people want almost as much for a used as brand new. And I can get the SR9 for $440 out the door...decisions decisions...but I do have the funds now...cash in hand...I'll let yall know but first...I wanna hear from yall... So throw your opinion out there please!
  5. Form follows function and that baby is a functional beauty! That looks like a box Mr.Glock woulda made.

    .40 or 9mm

Yah done so many times on so many different forums. However I'm asking because I care what yall think. Yah, I wanna know your opinion. I got the funds to get the polymer pistol now. Whatever I get, be it XD, Glock, or M&P I've still got decide on 9mm or .40.... Was leaning towards the 9mm but after watching Hickok shoot the .40 so well I'm thinking might as well go that route and get a .357 Sig barrel in the future. I won't be reloading. My buddy will tho! He reloads .40. That alone makes me wanna buy .40. But as a first time semi-auto owner what would you recommend? Also if do go .40 I think the M&P might have an advantage being designed orginally as a .40. So what yall thinking?
  7. What did Marlin originally chamber this rifle in?
  8. How many magazines does one usually get two? So three extra...hmmm I could make my own Hickokish videos! How much do magazines usually run? Guess I'll go do a search...
  9. She sure does look fancy for a Savage! Are you gonna shoot her? Yes of course...and let us know!
  10. Yah almost ready to buy! Just gotta try the M&P's as I've narrowed it down to XD, Glock, or M&P. The time being I thought you guys might like to know about the promo.
  11. http://www.springfieldpromo.com/ Outstanding promo if I do say so myself. There at Cabela's for $469 for the Service model. I haven't priced the XDM. I'm gonna have to take a second look at these. 3 FREE magazines is be hard to pass up if I can live with that grip safety!
  12. It's quite nice! The one in Sidney is an hour and a half drive from my place. My wife is vegan and she hates the place because of all the mounts, but she wants to go get some winter gear some time this fall. You should see the bull elephant! WooT!
  13. Thanks JayPee now that's the kind of responses I like! I'll check them out when I go to Cabela's.
  14. Yah but isn't the Bersa a .380? I want a "wondernine". Edit: I see Bersa 9 something something. Gotta go google it. Is that a compact or is it comparable in size to a Ruger P95 or a Glock 19?
  15. I know you've seen this G-MAN but I know you'll like watching it again! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZf4mUM10Vc
  16. What is the advantage of being striker fired?
  17. You're talking about the G26 right?

    Ruger P95

Well I went to the local shop today and of course they don't have them but can get them. The blued model for $359 plus tax. That's a lot better than what they want for a Glock. I was going to order a Glock 19 but at $659 I balked a bit. I could go to Cabela's and get one for $549 if I just have to have one and I just might but it on the Cabela's card. For the $359 though the P95 is American made and Ruger seems to have excellent reputation for customer service. If any of you have experience please feel free to let me know if you would recommend this as a first semi-auto. How do they shoot? Accuracy? Reliability? Could I shoot 250 rounds through this gun in a single afternoon and then another 250 rounds the next day without cleaning it? I will clean even if I fire only round but I want a gun that can do this if asked to. I want close to or equal to Glock reliability. I'm not trying to be el cheapo but the first part of November I'm driving 1200 miles to Tennessee to visit my mom and funding that trip is gonna take away some of my gun budget. My wife or my mom would buy me a Glock if I told them this dilemma but I don't want them spending any money and I think I can swing $359 plus tax on or about November 15. So lemme know your thoughts on the P95! Please and thanks! And one more question is their any advantage to the stainless slide for $50 bucks? I'm gonna feed this baby bulk Bitteroot Valley once reloaded 115 grain ball and I'm gonna use Rem oil until I get Ballistol. So prolly November 15 I'll finally have my "wondernine"! Sooner if I decide to drive 120 miles to Cabela's and put it on the card though I'd much rather pay cash here in town. Though Cabela's does have a much better ammo selection. I could buy the Ruger and 250 rds for what I would pay for the Glock.
  19. GMAN you shoot like Hickock45 then! And ummm he ain't no slouch in the accuracy department. How was the P95? Why did you sell it? I'm still considering one but I want a Glock so bad. Blame it on Hickock but nobody I shoot with has one and for years I thought they were horrendous foreign junk...that was until Hickock. I'm almost there at the price of admission. I'm gonna have to pay about $549 but I'm getting a G19 and I'm gonna learn to shoot it right handed with my left eye like you and Hickock! I want a Glock because they are like an eighties Toyota 4x4. Bulletproof and ugly. Sometimes Ugly gets "real good lookin' when it works!"
  20. And I know Glock is copied heavily in a lot of designs but the Ruger has more of a 1911 angle grip without the finger grips. You wanna see a Glock copy look at an early Sigma. Obviously there is much more than grip angle to be discussed...but... The Ruger is not really "Glocky", saying the Ruger is "Glocky" is like saying a Chevy is "Fordish". Nah mean? Maybe the above sentence just contradicted itself because if you were an alien you would see similarities amongst a bowtie and a blue oval. If you drove them both would see the difference... I think I just confused myself...
  21. The "glocky"er the better in my book...especially since it has a supported chamber. Ruger is American made and I don't know if yall know this...but in my neck of the woods Ruger is known for accuracy. Among other things to be sure... I might hold out on buying a Glock and take a look at this SR40. Anybody know MSRP?
  22. Time to try out some Hornady LeverEvolution...
  23. I shot a 700 recently with the Hogue Grip. It was a .223 and that Hogue grip was sweet!
  24. What is the MSRP? I've seen them but never held or shot them. Have you seen the Kel Tec carbine that uses pistol magazines? You might already have a pistol to pair it with.
  25. Now if only they had a compact version for concealed carry...
