  1. My local dealer had a bunch in the cabinet yesterday. All brands and types, except match, to boot.
  2. Wayne, do you have a LOT of static build up in your abode? You seem to have a lot of powder metering problems here lately? Then again it might just be your magnetic personality. Try rinsing/wiping all your powder handleing equipment with a 5% solution of fabric softener, especially the plastic parts. Let the softener dry on the parts don't rinse it off.
  3. It might just be that a large primer format is not necessary using the ecco priming compound. Maybe the compound in the ecco primers is to hot when used in the large primer format. I believe the flash hole in the ecco cases is larger also. which leads me to believe the preceeding,or a similar variation there of. Not everything is motivated by profit. Just 98.76%.
  4. Remington 550-1's they shoot 3 different cartridges, are still relativly inexpensive, hold 15 22lrs in the tube and are super accurate. I have 3.
  5. Gman, I don't think any state requires your CCW gun to be the one you qualify with. I know NC doesn't. If you need to qualify with your CCW weapon, what happens when you want a different one? Re-qualification? I've seen people qualify with .22 hand guns and they'll flat out tell you it was because the gun they're going to carry is not the one they're proficient with. Then there are the ones that qualify with .500 S&W's and carry .22 pocket pistols.
  6. Old commercial office desks from the Goodwill or similar places are good too.
  7. If your fridge is of the upper freezer lower fridge type you can store the primers in the upper section. just put a piece or sheetrock on the bottom to act as a fire stop.
  8. As for vacuums. Suck through, the filter types, (any shop vac and many houshold types) are ok to pick up powder. The old Kirby, through the impeller and then into the bag type are not. Carpet? I put a short pile area rug under my bench to keep dropped things from going too far when they hit the floor. It may be because my reload work area is on a slab, but I've yet to notice any static build up from it. Link to users bench pics.
  9. Let's think about that. Kitty litter= crushed chunks of clay and other "stuff". Toss it into a vibrating bowl with a bunch of hard brass thingys. Open the vibrating thingy and I'm sure that's the last load of brass you polish with kitty litter. Ever sand drywall compound? That's what you'll end up with, a big dust cloud. Unless you use something, (mineral spirits?)to keep the dust down.
  10. How much 9mm do you need? I have way more than I'll ever need. Would a gallon freezer bag full hold you over? It's all sized and cleaned mixed brass from my range. I don't shoot 30-06 so see what you can do with it as a PIF. See Karma
  11. Does NC Count as being southern?
  12. Wayne. According to the babble on this site Cast Bullets You can alloy your wheelweights with some, unknown to me amount, of tin to make them harder. You can purchase tin here Tin.
  13. It's been up for a week and no takers. OFFER WITHDRAWN
  14. Check this out... First Assault Weapon
  15. ...As does a 40 watt light bulb in a Minni Mouse lamp, sans shade.
  16. The Hogdon data was a simple cut and paste and then arrange it to my liking. After that it was manual data entry. Took a while though. So now I have a spreasheet for each caliber that I can sort the way I want. Bullet weight, powder type etc.
  17. I guess mine is the one i put togeather using the powder manufacturers wed site info and Excel. That way I can sort the data to suit me. Second would be Lyman 49 and then Lee#2.
  18. Welcome Dave. Pull up a stool and set a spell.
  19. Can't believe I can't give this away? Honest guys, I took a shower last week!
  20. Welcome Rich. Next time you go up the mountain,to Woodland Park, stop in that big Remax office on the right, and say Hi to my sister. Wendy Thompson.
  21. The brews on me, I made NEWBIE status Woo Hoo!!! Hey there ain't no brew smilies on this board. Is this AA in disguise? Oh well, every one out to the kitchen and get a glass of water on me.
  22. Not really, Look up on the top shelf on the left side in the last pic and behind the white baskets in the third pic.
  23. Yep. In the final clean/polish operation. It cleans the residue off and seems to help the brass stay shiny longer while it's in storage. I put the brass in the bowl first, then the corn cob. switch the bowl on for a few seconds to settle the corn into the brass. Then about a teaspoon of New Finish artfully drizzled on the top of the corn and close it up and turn it on for about 1-2 hours. Yes, that is also a can of Brasso. The wife has some small cast brass figurines and other stuff that I use that on. and toss them in with the pistol brass when I do it. gets all those nooks and crannies nice and shiney.
  24. OOPs!! Forgot this part... The first I'll take it gets it.
