Back in the mid 90's I almost bought a Rem 870 tactical with the 14 inch barrel at Ontario Sporting Supplies that was in Concord, but since went out of business. It was manufactured by Remington with the 14 inch barrel so it was completely legal. The price is what stopped me from getting it. I think it was around $1200 or so due to being rare at the time. I still wish to this day that I had bought it anyways!

We can have 14 inch shotgun barrels as long as overall lenght is 26" or more

I have always wanted to go to Knob Creek to see all the full-auto fun! Unfortunately its quite a ways away.

First shotgun I bought and still have and use is my Rem 870.

This is what happens when your patent expires...

I would stick with the Marlin. -
I will stick to using copper jacketed bullets, much cleaner!

Good to know! Thanks!! What bullet weight works best for the mini, the 55 grain or 62 grain?

I thought you couldn't fire military spec 5.56 ammo in the Mini-14? If you can, I wish I had known that years ago, I bought my Mini-14 back in '95 and only ever fired commercially made ammo in it!

I don't blame you with the not "doing formal ranges" I go to my mother's farm to shoot. I like the freedom to shoot however I feel and not have other people around. Plus, it doesn't cost me anything other than the gas to drive there and back. In the future, I am planning on buying a piece of property (50-100acres) to build a house and construct a range on as well. Nothing like having your own private range!

Solar and wind farm power generation is truly great

Thanks for all the welcomes! And Arkie, ya, they let us have more advanced things than flintlocks, lol. They just regulate things to an extreme, unfortunately!
