RLH70
What's the scuttlebutt on this rig? A friend of my brother needs money and is selling his, I offered him $300 for it, 4 mags and a custom made holster, he is going to let me know this week. Apparently it is less than a year old, he still has the bill of sale.

RLH70
Well I offered him 300, I think he is gonna wait to see if he gets a better offer by the end of the week? If not, it's mine.

Tell him you want the opportunity to meet or beat his best offer. I'd personally go $450 on that gun if it's like new.
RLH70
That is exactly what he was asking, but it's the plane jane parkerized model so I only offered $300 and figured I would come up a little if I had too. Of course before I buy it he said I could run a couple mag's through it too. I have a feeling I will get it, I don't think there are very many buyers around here right now, heck I was saving that money for a scope to go on another project? RLH70
Well I picked it up today, I actually bought this and a Ruger Blackhawk 357 for $575. I wasn't going to buy the Ruger, but for $275 I couldn't pass it up. This guy has a huge collection, I told him to call me if he decides to sell anymore guns. Trapper
I don't suppose you had to kiss the guy on the lips, did you?
RLH70
No kisses were given, but I kinda hurried up with the exchange before he changed his mind.
RLH70
I broke the gun down and gave it a good cleaning and a tiny bit of lube then I ran 100 rounds of my old handloads from 10-12 years ago through it and it performed flawlessly. I have not owned anything in 45acp for several years now, but I suppose I am going to have to knock the dust off my 45 dies and get some rounds made up.I ran 50 rounds through the Ruger as well, no surprises, it is just like all my other Ruger revolvers in that it could use a trigger job.
