wwillson Posted December 16, 2009 Report Share Posted December 16, 2009 My mother was driving to town just south of Shell Rock, IA about 3 years ago and saw a mountain lion cross the road in front of her. She called her brother, who is a biologist for the Iowa DNR, and asked if it could be, or was she seeing things. He assured her that what she saw was real and that mountain lions have been in Iowa for a while dinning on tasty deer. Sure would be neat to have one mounted on your wall! RLH70 Posted December 17, 2009 Report Share Posted December 17, 2009 For years the Ohio DNR said there were no bobcats in the state, just in the last few years they have reversed their position.
