  1. Our club range seems secure, but someone could enter over or under a fence and sneak through the woods.

I always worry indoors in the winter at my public place. The guys that work there are always on the look out and there is video - never heard of any theft but it could happen. They would have a LIST of suspects pretty quickly....then it would get interesting.

    Yes to electronic muffs.

  2. Well written. I actually don't use either term. I just tend to say AR mag or PMag or Glock 20 mag, 1911 mag, 5906 mag, 1006 mag, etc. The amount of rounds the magazine holds can be next (or first) in the sentence/discussion structure.

Do you have any PMags? (pretty much no doubt 30 rounders)

I put a new eight round mag in my 1911.

    I bought a 33 round Glock 17 mag.

The mag fell out of my Glock 20. It was about half full with seven rounds.

Etc. See the point? Maybe some assumptions up front, but no arbitrary adjectives needed.

  3. Me want.

Well NOT the XD-s 9mm. I LOVE my XD-s 45, it's a GREAT gun. I fail to see the point of the 9mm. There are a lot smaller 9mm's. The .45ACP model is perfect, a nice pocket .45 with 6 rounds. The 9mm joins a crowded 9mm sub-compact market and is huger and heavier than the competition. They'll probably sell millions. grin

Perhaps you were thinking of John Noveske of Noveske Rifle Works, who died in a car crash about a week after he made a facebook post linking the recent shootings to psychiatric drugs?

    story

    No.

I knew John died in Grants Pass where I used to live. If you watch the FPS videos, the guy who died also has a beard and is not slender.

  5. I would spend more money and get one of the M1As made with forged parts and U.S. G.I. quality parts instead of Sprinfields made in taiwan parts. But then that is just me as a one time owner of 3 Springfield M1As before they went low made in Taiwan quality. Kinda like Daniel Defense Quality vs one of the bottom feeder ARs.

    Which manufacturers?

  6. Nice first choice!! I have the blue/black version in 22/45.

Good shooting and good on you for not being so proud as to ask for assistance. I still remember my first time shooting a hand gun, I wasn't going to let anyone know, etc....although I read a lot and had shot rifles and shotguns for years, and followed all the safety rules - still my pride slowed my learning process and could have cause some bad habits.

Learn a firm grip and freefloating trigger finger. Get a Prohands Gripmaster finger exerciser. Use your full hand on the unit, then use all your fingers except your trigger finger.
