  1. Oddly with a bunch in the magazine I can manually cycle the rounds without a glitch. Seem to feed right in. FN and HP.

I wonder if this thing needs HOT rounds as I was shooting powder puff pistol plinking rounds.

  2. It was such a nice afternoon and I have my business taxes almost done......I said bag it and drove to the range (15-20 minute glorious drive)

    My range: http://www.svrifle.org/

The good: It was a nice afternoon!

The OK - good: Put one round in and fired. Almost dead nuts on. Amazing for not even dialing in the sights, all the different parts. The casing looked perfect. Put five in and same thing. Not too shabby. I went through 30 rounds or so then left.

The bad: I had 2-3 misfeeds. Round didn't quite chamber, started then hung up. Seemed like a feed ramp issue. Not sure. Ugg.

  3. Just to be clear I am currently constructing a pistol and will shoot it as a pistol.

I have filed on line and paid my $200 tax stamp. When that approval arrives I will only then change over the butt stock.

  4. Wow good stuff.

The guy was very cool. I learned a lot. He has a machine gun, something an "ordinary" citizen in WA state can't own - state law. Only FFL's may own them.

Anyway, I left with my lower and paid him his $25. He had a good point I should build the gun up as an AR pistol, and at the very least if everything fits up right and the lower is good, then start the SBR process online.

The Grease Gun lower is quite nice. Very heavy duty and the trigger guard is permanent. I have it almost altogether except I don't have the one size roll pin starter for the bolt release. I need to wait for that to arrive. I don't just want to wail it in.

I even did the clevis pin trick for the hinge pin. Haha worked great and the detent pin and spring remained in place. No big scratches so far.

I ordered an Ergo grip and some Diamondhead USA polymer sights, those are the only parts I'm short. Oh and I need a pistol tube. I already have a Sig brace.

  5. I only have a small inkling of what this process is. The FFL receiving my virgin lower says he is a Type 10 FFL and a class 2 SOT, one of only 3 in WA. Can handle any type of NFA transfer in WA......but me making a SBR for my Trust only. I'm not sure about any of this, want to do right.

  6. .40S&W. I'm not all hating on HiPoint either. They wanted to see my rifle really bad.

#1 round was sent down range for a dead on bullseye. Didn't chase the shell.

Shot #2 went kablammy all over my right hand.

Bolt is permajammed back. Ammo was factory OK. Gun left on Monday for Beemiller. I can see that at least some of the pressure happened out of battery.

1st, 2nd and 3rd round. 3rd round was like that in the magazine.

I went and fetched Rnd #1 after the blow out:

    This little devil was exciting:
