It's just spotty. Ask them when stock is coming in.
I bought Longshot from Powder Valley .com, but paid dearly. I bought 3 1# jugs to spread the Haz Mat out a bit.

Great news!!

Remington hand guns need something....it's got to be tough when you aren't selling a lot of guns in this market.

Pablo- How is that Lightweight Hunter doing?
Some of us were discussing the redesigned Savage Scout rifle, when someone mentioned this model. His point was Savage could have based their new Scout on this and come closer to the ideal Scout. Probably correct.
Anyway, that got me thinking about yours, and wondering how it has worked out. You are the only person I know who has one.
Well I have not gone hunting. Which is a bummer for another thread or something....
The rifle I have taken to the range 4 or 5 times.
I like it, but it's not really a range gun. Reason? When the barrel gets hot I believe the groups spread OR the thing is so light with HOT .308 loads I have developed a flinch! Seriously it IS very light and with big loads, it has a strong recoil, so it's not like I want to shoot it all that much. It functions just fine.

Well I am running a lighter trigger and hammer spring. All I did was clean out the old old grease, wet lube, repeat, dry, install the springs, lube the critical spots and close up.
SOME of the Colt Trooper Mk III's supposedly had gritty triggers. I guess I got lucky. The thing is, I paid something around $500. I can't exactly remember......but what are Python's going for? Beat and I mean REALLY beat examples are $1500+.

I let a buddy shoot this the other day.
He was absolutely stunned at the perfectness of the trigger. He had no idea a trigger could be so smooth.

Barrel/upper builder contacted me. Wanted some details on the fore grip and such. I asked him if he test fires. YES . AND he asked if I shoot factory or reloads. I answered. YES.
-
I'm just usually pretty busy.
Google modifying Grease gun magazines for 10mm. He supplies one. Supposedly works well. See him shooting full auto 10mm.
-
Brand new to loading all by myself. Previously was on at buddy's house. Did not use those powders.
-
Yes their upper. 10-11"

Grease gun lower:
Goes to my FFL
The whole NFA thing will make this a SLOW build.
-
Thanks. Agree on the slow burning. Most web stuff says it works Ok for medium-hot .45 loads, but dirty and "loud".
-
I got 3#'s for a decent price.
-
Sold my Glock 20 in 2013. Kept all my accessorizes and barrels.
And bought the 20SF........
THEN I bought a LONG SLIDE......and it came with a free 9X25 barrel.....done some mods, made the trigger sweet. What a sweet beast this project is.

Thanks NavyVet! Thanks for your service!!
What you write makes sense. And I have read about others doing this.
I now have a new Glock 20SF (and a .40S&W Barrel) plus I scored a HiPoint 4095 Carbine!
-
An AR with a grease gun lower. 11" Barrel.
I formed the trust.
Parts in work.....and on order. Stay tuned!

I still have some Buffalo Bore, but getting low as I like to shoot it every so often.
-
Yeah I know.
But you're not dead!

What I was hearing about the R-51 trigger was that it was very much like a Glock/XD/M&P trigger, but with a longer reset. However, I was getting this from rabid 1911 devotees. In the case of one in particular, it's possible that any non-1911 trigger is going to feel the same as any other non-1911 trigger to him.
I think you are on to something Mr. Professor.

Re: Remington R-51
I heard that one distributor (Davidsons?) shows a preorder price of $318. If that's tried and they will sell for around $375 in local gun shops, they will sell a lot. I'm not that interested, but at that price, I might be.
My guys at the show are reporting that the trigger absolutely sucks. Not sure if it's an easy clean-up or not.
OTOH still waiting to hear if the Lone Wolf large frame Timber Wolfs are being shown.
-
That R-51 looks very cool to me. Sounds like a winner!
-
I would say at that price tag, that gun has a pretty fat margin. I'm holding off. Still have strong "me want" feelings.
-
Welcome. Good guys always welcome here!
I too came back to shooting after a hiatus. Then I went in an acquisition phase. Now I'm selling off some guns just to clear some space! I have sold 8 guns, and working on selling two more. I would say in the last 3-4 years I really came to what I like and don't like about certain models - most of these attributes are not easily detected unless shot and or carried for some time.

Price tag is a barrier.
Any hard use field reports yet?
