Pablo
Talking long gun sales to out of state persons.......Say I (non-FFL) wants to buy a rifle from (non-FFL) person in another state. This is not legal? Or is it the same as for handguns. FFL to FFL only?
BarryinIN
I assume you are talking about one that has to be shipped, and not buying one while on a trip?In that case, whether rifle, shotgun, or handgun, it has to be shipped to an FFL holder. This might help you, or at least provide links: http://www.gunbroker.com/User/HowToBuy.aspx
Pablo
Yes - shipped. I found a few sites that say a non FFL in another state can ship to a FFL in my state.
G-MAN
ANY gun sales from residents of different states have to go through an FFL on the BUYER'S end. A non-FFL can ship to an FFL in another state. (Check local and state laws, too.)

I don't pretend to know from/to which states this is allowed. I would suggest you ask an FFL in your state, then get a second opinion. Wayne I was talking about arms length sales that require shipping.Face-to-face sale of long guns between states is a different story, as you say.
