Knob Creek (KY) is coming up in just a couple of months!

I haven't been in over ten years. I have to tell the story of my first time there:

I rode with my buddy, who had been going since it was a pretty small deal. We parked in the field/parking lot a fair distance from the range and started walking.

We had hardly left the car when I heard the sound of rushing water.

I asked my buddy about the water sound, to see if there was a waterfall close by or maybe a creek that had swollen with the rain (it always pours right before the shoot). He looked at me like I was nuts. He didn't know what I was talking about.

But I kept hearing it, so I kept asking: "Don't you hear that?" And he kept wondering what was wrong with me.

Finally I figured it out as we got closer to the range.

It wasn't water.

It was gunfire in the distance.

With so many MGs being fired at once, there were enough shots in such rapid succession that it sounded like one continuous sound. From a distance, it was a rushing/whooshing sound like rapids.

Now try to imagine that if you can, and it will give you an idea of what it's like there. Wow.
