G-MAN
Someone just posted this pic of a Nazi Hi-Power he just traded for. Something Hi-Powers are known for is missing from this gun. Can you spot it?I've seen photos of Nazi Hi-Powers with and without, so the back story on why some have it and some don't would be interesting. G-MAN
swastica[sp] Tangent sight A mount for a stock? that is all of my guesses Nah. Look at the trigger. There's a pin missing. If you know what that pin holds, you know what this gun is missing.

G-MAN
Magazine safty!!! Bingo. Makes me wonder if the Nazis, after they took over FN during the occupation of Belgium, said "Let's get rid of that dang mag safety and improve the trigger pull." wwillson
G-MAN,Excuse my ignorance, but did the original Hi-Power have a mag safety?
G-MAN
G-MAN,Excuse my ignorance, but did the original Hi-Power have a mag safety? Yes. The Hi-Power was originally developed per the requirements of the French army. A mag disconnect safety was one of those requirements. In the end, the French chose a different weapon as their standard sidearm: the Pistolet automatique modèle 1935A (a French design).Over on one of the Hi-Power forums someone has posted that the Nazis dropped the mag safety beginning in 1943. After the war, when production resumed, FN put it back in. So, some Nazi HPs have the disconnect and some don't.
