steves Posted November 30, 2009 Report Share Posted November 30, 2009 I went to the range and shot my dads Ruger 10/45 and a S$W 442? [airweight snubby] I enjoyed myself. I glass bedded my Dads 300 Weatherby last week and reassembled it and am dreading to test it out. It has noise and recoil beyond bench shooting. It is a 1960 mfg rifle and I went to the store when he bought it new !!! To me it is a treasured keepsake and it has probably no more than 300 rounds max through it .My Dad would check the sights [scope] before going deer hunting and only shoot it if there was a deer in the sights.
