All,

I bought this Single Six .22LR a few years ago and have only fired it a couple hundred times. I was dismayed to see this oxidation, which looked like dissimilar metals corrosion, on the frame by the barrel threads. When I cleaned it off it was all coming from something very hard between the barrel and the frame. It looks like a piece of metal wedged into the threads, which I can't remove. Any idea what's going on here?

Thanks,

Wayne

Wayne, That sure does not look "normal".

I'd email that photo to Ruger and let them answer it.

Mine is dirty but here is what it looks like...

I'd wonder if its going to get any worst or damage the barrel or frame?

Bill
