BarryinIN Posted January 10, 2016 Report Posted January 10, 2016 I missed the date yesterday, but the M-1 Garand was adopted by the U.S Army on Jan 9, 1936. All hail! Quote
Astro14 Posted February 8, 2016 Report Posted February 8, 2016 The greatest battle implement ever devised! I enjoy shooting mine...it will always be among my favorites. Mine isn't anything special in terms of collectibility. It's an H&R built in the 50s, with a 6,XXX,XXX serial, but it is a CMP rifle that my brother got me for my 50th birthday...so it will always be special to me. Quote
wwillson Posted February 9, 2016 Report Posted February 9, 2016 I've never owned one, but would like to someday. They shoot nice, but I'd hate to carry one with me 24hrs/day. Although when my dad turned his M14 in for a M16, while in Vietnam, he said that so many times he wished he was carrying the M14 again. Quote
