wwillson
All,I have a High-Standard Sport King that I don't shoot much because the magazine is just plain worn out and won't reliably feed anymore. There are a few sites that sell replacement magazines, but I have no idea of their quality. Has anyone purchased replacement magazines for a High-Standard? If so, can you recommend where to get high quality magazines? Thanks,Wayne
Moe
Wayne,I am kind of in the same boat. My High standard is a model 103 Tournament Trophy which I cherish very much. Accuracy is better than my S&W 41. I have only 1 mag and I am always on the look out for another. Have you tried Numrich yet?
wwillson
How do I tell which model I have, could be the M-102 through the M-107. Must be a site somewhere that correlates serial numbers to models?Wayne
wwillson
According to this site mine was made in 1951, but there is no indication of which model it would be.Wayne
Moe
According to that website, mine was made in 1963. Mine is a Supermatic Tournament, not the above mentioned. I had to actually go get it out of the safe to see what it was. It does say model 103 on the left side.
wwillson
Nothing about the model on mine, but the serial numbers on both barrels, the slide, and the frame match.Wayne
Moe
I would bet that Brownells has them and they are very helpful over the phone. I think the difference in magazines is if you have the 1911 angle grip or the standard grip. It's easy to tell if you put the HS next to a 1911 and check the grip angle.
