Merry Christmas!

steves or Steve S as he goes by over on Bitog, he hasn't posted at either site in several months?

I just read an article about the .348 in Handloader magazine, I liked yours better.
-
Sure does sound like an ammo problem to me.

The recoil didn't look much worse than a 460 Weatherby. My step dad is a collector of Weatherby Mark V Deluxe rifles, and he has an early German made 460 without the muzzle brake, which I shoot every chance I get, and that .700 didn't look like it recoiled any worse than that.

I would agree with that Wayne. I really don't even consider a Taurus anymore when shopping, seems to much of a hit or miss proposition.
-
I have a model 607 that I bought in 1996 and two Raging Bulls in 454, that I bought in 1998, both are of excellent quality. The wife fell in love with a model 85, which I bought around 2004 and the fit and finish is certainly not up the the level of my others from the mid-late 90's.
The only Taurus product I would consider now would be one from the mid to late 90's, and likely only another Raging Bull.

Thinking of adding a Dillon to get into more quantity, I'll keep the single stage stuff for quality.

What is the difference between the CM9 and PM9? Aside from price...

I have an original 995 bought in 1996, it's a no frills gun that just simply works. It has thousands of rounds through it from factory loads to my hot handloads and I have had no issues at all.

I would expect electricians tape to have an effect. Sticky, gooey and stretchy.
I dunno, I've never seen or heard of anyone doing this. I guess with most tapes not a big deal, but with a little care it's not needed and I've hunted with shotguns in the rain.
The tape is blown away by before the bullet leaves the barrel, and I only use it on my muzzle loaders to help keep the powder charge dry, never used any tape on a cartridge gun.
-
I always tape the muzzle of my muzzle loader during inclement weather when deer hunting. I have taken several deer while having the muzzle taped and if the POI was altered I have not noticed it. I have always used black electrical too.

Welcome fellow Buckeye!

Nice experiment, Thanks!

From what I saw, the U shaped frame of the tool broke in two. He has long since sold those AK's and has prolly done 3 or 4 more canted sights on different AK's he has bought, not to mention all his buddies who have used the tool.
-
Same type of tool yes, but the $5 NcStar tool is a far cry from the quality of the TAPCO tool. My brother learned the hard way, the $5 tool broke on the second canted sight my brother tried to correct on a Romanian AK. That is why I recommended the quality tool to you, but hey, as long as it worked.

I have a model 39-2 which is the progenitor of the model 59. It belonged to my dad and was his carry gun when he was a LEO. It has many thousands of rounds through it and gives me no problems.
-
Good choice, should be a tack driver, every Savage I own is.

Take a look at Redfield scopes, they are made in Leupold's factory just down the road from you in Beaverton, Oregon. I have 3 of them now, one of which resides on a 300 Ultra Mag, and could not be more pleased.
-
Yes, those are Surefire, I believe they changed their name at some point from "surefire gun mags" to simply SGM. Those are the ones I bought as well, very nice mags.
-
I got mine in around 4 days too, did you get the SureFire or the Pro Mag?

I agree actually. I meant long vs. a SA. It's a shorter pull than any DA I've fired. I think it seems long because of relative size of the pistol.
Thanks for the info!
IMO,there is no way this trigger can be compared favorably to the trigger on a DA revolver. I think Pablo may be right though, perhaps it is simply the trigger take up relative to the size of the pistol makes it seem longer than it really is?
