wwillson
I had my Bushmaster Varminter 24" barrel threaded to accept a muzzle brake. The threads were machined by AWC Systems Technology in Phoenix, AZ. I removed the barrel from the upper and the gas tube/block from the barrel, so I could ship them the bare barrel. It took about 6 weeks to get it back, which is what they said it would be. They did what I would call an incredible job. They returned the barrel with a screw-on thread protector. With the thread protector on the barrel, it looks like nothing has been done - no visible line, gap, or anything. In fact, I showed barrel to two of my friends who have considerable experience running machine lathes and both said it was an exceptionally high quality job.I just wish suppressors were legal in Illinois (did you click the link?)!Wayne_________________________An armed criminal will kill an unarmed man with monotonous regularity.
