wwillson Posted December 23, 2009 Author Report Share Posted December 23, 2009 With a little googling around I found that Remington did make a single shot 870 trap gun called the "Remington Competition Trap". The action was that of an 870, but it had a gas operated recoil reduction system - kind of a hybrid between a 870 and a 1100. They were made from 1981-1986 and only about 5500 were made.
