  1. Pablo,

It's a load table for those that want to use this particular Hornady bullet with the powders on the left. The red cells just mean that the charge weight is the maximum charge for that powder. The velocity is what you'll get with the charge weight of the powder on the left.

    Wayne

Of course I understand that - but the velocity in the X axis - is that muzzle or 50 yds?

  2. Very effective rounds. Also very expensive. Barnes also makes some impressive bullets but again $$$ is the word.

They are faster since they are lighter.

I've always used either a reloaded JSP or full lead round and they have killed anything I've shot well. Both in the .357mag or .44mag Marlins.

For blowing up items I use an JHP and that works WELL! Nothing like a milk jug being here today and gone today... Vapor! t-up

Well for sure faster than 240 and 300 gr bullets. Seems like on paper As with any cartridge, you can get some better power via speed with handloads. Is this table for muzzle velocity?

  3. Well I watched it and I enjoyed the video. Darn it if the frame on that gun ain't cracked so bad I wouldn't have shot it! I don't know how Hickok didn't notice that!

It is? I just can't sit through a whole 20 minutes. At what time did you see the crack??

  4. Wonderful can of worms to open...I enjoy caliber debates like no other!

For sure though Pablo that .44 Magnum gun you are buying will drop a hog reliably at 50 yards or less. You can never guarantee a one shot drop on any beast!

I hadn't planned on any local hunts, but it does look like there are some wild pigs around here. I was thinking more about when I move southeast, become an antihippie and live off the land. The .44 mag would be sporting for close up "fun".

  5. Here's what he said:

    Quote:
I'm not the original owner. I bought it about 4 years ago. I have not shot it since I bought it. I did buy it from a dealer and he said it shot great. I have cycled ammo through it while hunting and it feeds well .I have not run any 44 specials through it. I do not have the owners manual or paperwork. I don't mind meeting at all but I do ask that you sign a firearms bill of sale, provide some ID and I will accept cash or a bank cashiers check.

  6. All this talk of 92 levers gave me the itch too, so I visited my local gun shop today and had them order me a Rossi R92 in 454 Casull to match my 454 revolvers.

Good luck on your B92 Pablo, I see you are still the top bidder!

Thanks. I emailed the seller, no response yet. Just asked him a few questions about the gun. Never bought a gun this way before - but thanks you - turned me on to Gunbroker.com and I hadn't thanked you yet.
