LuckyGunner just posted a super-thorough, well-documented self defense ammo test. I'm still looking through it all. They covered .380ACP, 9mm, .40S&W, and .45ACP.

I carry a Taurus PT709 slim (9mm). Small, cheap, nice to shoot. And despite Taurus's reputation, mine has been very reliable. Had some jams straight out of the box, before it was cleaned or lubed, but since then it's been 100% reliable.
