  1. I have 9 G17 mags ($80 for a 3-pack) and 3 more G22 mags ($85 for a 3-pack) from Brownells on backorder. I do not have even have a G17, but I had planned on getting a 40-9 LWD conversion barrel in the future. My G22 will be 22LR, 9mm and 40 S&W caliber. Why not? AA kit was cheaper than a Buckmark.

I do appreciate that Brownells seem not to jack up their prices. They also have more bullets for reloading in stock than Midway.

  2. Pablo, it can be done, I've seen it done. Extractor will hold cartridge in place. Do I recommend it? No.

As far as cartridge splitting if unsupported, remember smiley faces at 6 o'clock in factory 40 S&W Glock barrels? I load at 90% percent of handbook (nosler and speer) and never had smileyes.

I suspect a mild factory load (non-Corbon) with a lighter bullet (135 gr to 155gr) will, at most, cause a slight bulge all the way around, but won't split the case. Hot 180 gr factory load, or a handload with 200gr is another matter. Mr. G. will become a hand grenade.

  3. Thinking about picking up one for CCW.

Sold my 454 Casull Raging Bull (Alaskan CCW :-)), so I need something suitable for the Lower 48.

I love Taurus revolvers, had/shot 454 Raging bull (handloaded 454 Casull and hot-roded 45 Colt), 375/38, 22 LR, but no experience with semi-auto. Reviews all seem to be good. I hope its DA/SA trigger is better than Kel-Tec P11/FP9's trigger.

Trying to buy used under $300 to save some money. Ruger LC9 is another option, but since it is Kel-Tec's knock-off, I am not sure about the trigger.

Anything else I am overlooking in my price range?
