wwillson
Moe,I had never heard of it until you mentioned you have it at your club. This is a link to the US Helice Association website. I would assume it's lots of fun and more expensive than a round of trap?Wayne
Moe
A typical shoot is 30 targets. The cost of each target is about 6 dollars. Ammo used is high velocity 7.5's. Most guns are O/U's. This game tries to simulate live Pigeons. A lot of money can be made "on the side" in this game.
wwillson
Is the target only used once, or can it be reused? What load at what speed?Wayne
Moe
If you actually shoot the target and drop out the center, no. It's usually damaged beyond repair. I don't know if they pick up the used targets, but I think they do to use for practice. Only new targets are used for registered shoots. Most use 3 3/4 dram 7.5's I don't remember if they are 1 1/8 or 1 1/4oz loads. 1350 - 1400fps sounds about right.
