wwillson
All,I have a decent stash of shotgun powders some of which I really don't load much anymore. They are all well sealed in the original plastic containers. I'm wondering how long I can expect the powders to usable? I would probably use all of them up withing 5 years.Wayne
steves
I just used the last Bullseye powder that I purchased in 1994 or 1995. No problems. I have shot 1942 30-06 surplus ammo .
Moe
Just used the last of a 15lb keg of Red Dot. It was bought back in the 70's. It was stored in a guys house and it was sealed when i bought it. Worked fine.

Bill_in_Utah
5 years? That's nothing.I've got powder and primers that are a easy 20 years (and when a brick of primers was $7.99 and 1 lb of powder was $10.99 - Oh I miss those days) and have used powder that was opened that long ago just last week. As long as its dry and kept in a reasonable temp area, it will outlast you. Take care, Bill
