Lead in a Semi-Auto?

Tom,

99% of the ammunition my semi-auto pistols shoot is cast lead bullets. I cast my own and have found that as a hobby it's as much fun as shooting and makes reloading MUCH cheaper than buying bullets. There are many members here with years of casting experience, use that experience to your advantage!

It depends on the barrel . If it is standard rifling it is ok. If it is like like the factory Glock type not really due to the glock type rifling is supposed to lead bad and cause kabooms? I don't think your Smith has the Glock type rifleing. I use lead bullets in the S@W99 and the 1911s and the Springfield XD in 9mm. Look up Missouri Bullets on line I have gone through 3,000 of their bullets and so far so good.
