Substituting Clay-Dot for Clays

From Alliant's website - "Clay Dot™ is functionally and technically identical to competitive shotshell powders but at a reduced price."

It's pretty obvious that Clay Dot is meant to functionally replace Hodgdon Clays. Our supplier ran out of Clays and wants us to substitute Clay Dot for Clays. From what I understand, you don't have to change anything when switching from Clays to Clay Dot in shotgun or pistol.

Has anyone used Clay Dot? Have you used it in substitution for Hodgdon Clays? If you've used Clay Dot in either fashion, I'd like to hear what you experienced.
