It was Range Day at SHOT.  Or day before range day Industry day.  Or something.  Regardless, SHOT is starting, and reports are drifting in. 

   First, the IWI X95, which is the upgraded/slightly more compact Tavor.  The most interesting part for many will be the magazine release, which is a standard-type button actuated by the trigger finger like an AR rather than a lever/paddle.

Then from the expected to a surprise, a Kimber revolver!
A .357 Mag six-shot that's roughly J-frame size, and unique styled though maybe not as much as the LCR Ruger.

Kimber also has a 9mm Micro. The previous Micro was a mini-1911 style in .380.  Now it's (IMO) size - appropriate for the 9mm. 

Aimpoint: A 6x magnifier. 

Remington: Model 7 in stainless.  
When asked about the R51, people are getting a sigh, and a "Summer, they told us to say".

Smith & Wesson: A new .22 auto pistol called the Victory.  It resembles the Ruger bolt-within -the-receiver design, but with a squared receiver and bolt. Quick(ish) change barrels. Volquartsen already has barrels for it.

Colt: Just alterations to the 1911, including a  "competition - ready " model for $899 retail, but they are pushing a dual recoil spring system, which is probably worthless in addition to completely unnecessary.  Just my opinion 
They have named their stripped down AR in case anyone was worried.  I wasn't, until I saw the name, and now I'm worried  (the  "Expanse").   The important thing is its only $699 retail. 

Lots of AR pistols all over the range. 
Lots of arm brace thingys too. 
There's an Uzi with an arm brace. Hmm.
