BarryinIN
I'm not sure why they haven't made these before, since they made M-16A2s quite a while ago. I got an email link to a survey by FNH his week and just got around to looking at it. Ordinarily I'd ignore such things, but I was curious this time. The survey asked opinions on different names for a "product to be introduced within the next six months".They didn't actually say it was an AR, but with name choices like "FNH 15" and "FNH AR", I don't think I'm going out on a limb with that guess. Pablo
They've been making AR barrels in the USA for some time. My 6.8SPCII barrel was made by FN.
steves
Also they make the M4s for our military.
LeverAction
I now have this rifle in the SX-AR version in Brush MossyOak finish and bipod. It is more accurate than the DPMS Panther Arms .308 that I had.Phil
BarryinIN
I thought that was the Winchester version of the FN FNAR (which in turn is the FN version of the Browning BAR)? I haven't seen a Winchester SX-AR in person yet, even though they were introduced maybe four years ago (typical).
LeverAction
Good question about the version, Barry.I got in a trade with my son so I don't know the exact origin. It says on the barrel "Made by FN Belgium - Imported by BACO, Inc., Morgan, Utah."On the left side of the receiver it does say, "Winchester."My son put a Pine-Ridge 6-18 scope on it with Weaver rings.I should add that I tried all kinds of Match Ammo in it but the most accurate ammo was made by a guy in Waterloo, Iowa.
