  1. It's for my daughter. She hasn't shot it. I just went through another 100 rounds...........works great so I need to "test" it some more This summer is Firearms 101 for her.
  2. So I'm confused. That is where all Saiga rifles are made?

Shoots PERFECTLY now. Learned a LOT. Fun and double fun!
  4. Don't sweat it - once I started searching I found a lot of choices. Got these: http://altamontco.com/experimental/products/pistol/smith_and_wesson/#Smith_and_Wesson_kframe.php Down at bottom right corner. Smith and Wesson K Round Classic Panel Checkered Super Walnut
  5. Sure at some point. What are the smallest grips made for the Round Butt K-frame?
  6. Thanks for draining my wallet!! Shot really nice yesterday. Sights need a little adjusting, but a 10 round revolver is a hoot to shoot. Now shopping for new grips. The FFL I bought it from had spring kits, installing those in a couple minutes.

Got approval for my SBR. Going to the range soon!!
  8. Very interested. The price looks good. I have bought lesser priced 1-4X and the eye relief range was terrible.
  9. That's the first thing I will need are the small grips!
  10. I ended up biding on and winning a new SW 617 for $724 last night. I fondled the 617 and the Ruger at gun shows.....and like both but decided to buy the Smith'.

The project is basically on hold. It's day 60 in the NFA process. Waiting to finish and shoot the rifle as an SBR. I can not properly evaluate the thing as a pistol.
  12. Can anyone recommend a .22LR revolver for teaching wife and daughter to handle and shoot a revolver? My wife can shoot my lever .22, but only .22 hand gun is my 22/45. I will wean them on to a .38 Special, but want to start everything with 22. Thanks!!
  13. Pretty cool. Still bummed their 6.8 died.
  14. I thought something changed...........holy moley.

Got the gun back yesterday. Can't wait to shoot it!! Ron modified 3 GG magazines, no charge. Nice surprise in the box.
  16. NOW I know why people like these silly things! Fun. The gun shot like a champ. Shooting low - I swear it was dead on the first shot need to crank the rear sight up. My only problem is I didn't bring enough ammo!! I did some steel shooting at 200 yards. Doesn't hit like a .308, but it hits!! Need more .40S&W ammo......... On a serious note, it's a gun I can let anyone shoot to learn a simple semi auto carbine. Heavy, easy, if it gets dropped I won't cry. I want several gun types in this learn to shoot category.

Getting closer. I like the guy so far, he's just a one man operation and has pledged to make it right.

Well since the 1st the gun misfed even worse. I returned the upper and the magazine to Ron. At first, just like before he shipped to me, he had no problems. Then he filled the magazine a bit more 15 + and started having issues. He says the magazine follower is the culprit. No specifics yet. He is going to shoot it again on Tuesday. Frustrating!
  19. Got my gun back. Burr in chamber and chamber was not deep enough. Will shoot soon.

Being the low level genius I am, I didn't try other ammo at the range. Going back Thursday or Friday. I wonder if my cleaning helped. Frankly my brand new Daniel Defense M4V3 AR had rounds and casings stick the first time out. But after running it and cleaning it, and cleaning the chamber super well, never had a problem again.
