  1. Is anyone else having trouble with this site?
  2. I too often read but post rarely.
  3. Well it's certainly impressive but I'm not sure that I could find any practical use for it, and 4-5k is a bit much for a toy.
  4. That doesn't surprise me one bit. It's the reverse of what has happened in the UK (provided that you get past the 'massaged' stats), gun crime there has significantly increased since the handgun ban.

    carry pistol

    I carry a 9mm Walther PPQ M1.
  6. How about a Walther PPQ?
  7. I recommend you try the Ruger Super Redhawk, it's a really great gun.
  8. Sorry to be so slow in responding. It shoots really well. I think that the gun is so heavy that the biggest challange is lifting it and keeping it still to aim. The recoil is easy to deal with, it's more of a thump than a crack like the Walther 9mm.
  9. Hope you are right. The internet pics do not do justice to the real thing.
  10. I wanted one but my doctor said no. He still doesn't know that I bought .44 instead.
  11. I just bought a Ruger Super Redhawk .44 Magnum. It's the 7.5 ich barrel version. I have not fired it yet but when I do I'll probably need a new arm! All of my family think I'm mad but I think that was already known! I'll try to post a picture sooon if anyone wants to see.
  12. Hi guys, I came across a 9mm FC round in the range the other day that looked identical to the FC target ammunition I was using. As you'll see from the pic, it's labelled FC NT. As far as I can see, the rest of its characteristics appear to be the same as the standard FC ammo but I couldn't understand what the NT stood for. After some exploration, there are some people who think that NT stands for Non Toxic which refers, presumably, to the chemistry either used in the propellant or in some other component part. I wondered if any of you have come across this and whether you can shed any light on the subject, the photo isn't that great, but you can read it ... the NT ammo is on the right. Walther PPQ

In response to Pablo's question on the ammunition topic. Does anyone else here own a PPQ?
  14. I mentioned the PMC ammunition to my boss today and he just screwed his face up!
  15. Strange, but both. On two occasions the case did not eject and on the other two it did not appear to feed correctly in the first place.
  16. I just shot 50 rounds of PMC Bronze with my 9mm Walther PPQ and had four jams. It's the fist time that I have used these and I have not had a problem before. I wondered if anyone else had experience with this brand.
  17. ... just a bit, mate! I'm best with a shotgun! When I lived in England I shot skeet and sporting clays at a National level. I then took up hand-guns at that time I had an S&W .357 Magnum and an S&W .44 Magnum (the long barrel 'dirty harry' style). But then, some nutter in Scotland decided to kill a load of children in a school in Dunblaine so the Government decided to ban ALL hand-guns which were confiscated. You now carry a hand-gun with a risk of 5 years imprisonment. Of course, as a result of this, gun crime actually increased because the only people who have got the guns are the 'wrong' people!!! Whereas the average person has no means to defend themselves. Makes no sense! Lessons learned. I currently own a Walther PPQ 9mm. It's a nice comfortable gun to get back into the sport with and a useful home defense firearm.
  18. I just joined too. Hope you and the others can tolerate a 'limey'!
  19. Very good but you forgot Wales.
